I love days like this. Just line them up and ride them.
I started out by taking out the track bike for the first time this year. New tires and tape on the bars on off I go.
Track racin' will start soon. I'll miss the first few but should be there in early June fore sure.
Put on about 15 miles in this bike. The fixxie came back to me quickly however I still always try to stop peddling when I cross RR tracks. Instinct I guess. Then......
330pm to 430pm

Rode home, grabbed the MTB and off I go for round 2.
I am figuring out a favorite loop in our trails by the cabin.
I almost have one set in stone, about 4 miles long with minimal backtracking.
I still cant believe I have trails about a minute ride from my back door.
I could get used to that real easy..
After an hour of that I head back to...
5pm to 645pm

Grab the pink roadie to finish up the day with a group ride. About 20 of us show and we did our best to stay away from the lake with the temps taking a dive if we got to close.
About 30 miles of paceline fun.
And I was in the game till the end.
That makes it a bit more fun for me as the only real efforts were some huge sprints for the "stop ahead" signs. I watched them.
An excellent day of riding if I don't say so myself.

4 Wadaya Think?:
I just might have you beat there Dano.
How about a trailhaed 35 yards from the base of my driveway.
I still might move it 10 yards closer.
Do you still remember how to turn left?
Man, what a banner day of cycling! I need to try to pull one of those off sometime; single-speed, MTB and road ride all in one day.
I used to ride a fixie in college. I had a roommate who was a racer and it was our spring training and roller bike. Like you said, it requires some retraining of the brain when out on the road!
My closest trail is a two mile ride from the driveway. Great to be able to get out in the woods without driving the car first.
Bubba: Sweet! However, its game on. I am now going to re route the trail to run thru my back porch.
Shedmaster: I rule on turning left. Its everything about track racin I suck at.
OMAHB:Fixxies are really good for training, however, since I do not train in any way shape or form I just ride it for "image".
